Featured Projects

I am passionate and highly motivated about designing, developing, and publishing creative solutions to solve existing problems. A few of my favourite ventures are listed below.

jSuite

2021 - Present

In 2021, I launched jSuite, a suite of web applications tailored to optimise higher education delivery and operations. Developed to fill the gaps in academic management, jSuite includes tools like jGrade for simplifying grading processes, and jTest for streamlining exam administration. Additionally, jTrack and jMark cater to specific needs like tracking lectures and automating marking. Now, multiple degree courses are reaping the benefits of this software, showcasing my ability to create solutions that address real-world educational challenges and my commitment to improving academic experiences.

Image of Chatterrific

Chatterrific

2018 - 2022

Chatterrific is an instant messaging platform that I started in 2018. It is available in both a downloadable C# desktop application and as an online PHP web application. Over the years, I have created several distinct versions of the platform, acting as a sort of playground as I develop new skills and abilities in application development. The current iteration has all the features you would expect for a modern user-friendly chat platform and is currently utilised by myself, friends and colleagues at university.

Other Projects

Project Icon

Labyrinth Forge

A C++ WASM implementation of a random maze generator utilising a modified version of Kruskal's Algorithm. The program can create a maze with user-defined dimensions and provides the option to either display the generated maze in the console/web interface or save it to a file.

Project Icon

Jindium

Jindium is a low-level C# HTTP server that delves into the core of HTTP request and response handling using System.Net. Offering dynamic/static routing, server-side rendering, session management, and an admin console, caching, it represents a deep dive into HTTP processes.

Project Icon

JURL

JURL is a free customisable URL redirection service, with detailed tracking and reporting of requests that are forwarded using JURL. Native support was also added, enabling it to be embedded directly into established websites - functioning similarly to Google Analytics.

Project Icon

WebPathFinder

WebPathFinder, developed using C++ and WebAssembly, addresses the complex Traveling Salesman Problem (TSP) with a genetic algorithm. This project was born from my ambition to demonstrate how web technologies can efficiently solve challenging computational problems like the NP-hard TSP, showcasing the seamless integration of advanced algorithms in a web environment.

Project Icon

Offendermetre

The Offendermetre API is my implementation of a profanity filter. It automatically censors offensive words or phrases in a given text using a Multi-class Sentiment Analysis model. Meaning that it can mitigate Scunthorpe Problem-related difficulties, including misspellings and borderline cases. The current version is available as a Discord bot and REST API.

jSock

jSock, developed in C# .NET, is an insightful foray into WebSocket technology, delving into the complexities of server-client communication. Originating from my desire to go beyond high-level frameworks, it simplifies understanding and implementing the RFC6455 WebSocket standard. Gaining traction with over a thousand downloads on NuGet.
